Job Tasks and Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate project schedules with sub trades, monitor sub trade installations and modify millwork, as required for sub trades. 

  • Provide best practice instruction and participate in the development of apprentices. 

  • Perform framing, finish and trim carpentry work according to plans and specifications.

  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with building components and equipment.

  • Oversee client jobs, supporting with operations and client service as well as managing a team

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Must have at least 7 years experience in the interior millwork construction and installation with an interior general contractor.

  • A thorough understanding of construction drawings and the shop drawing process, and proven ability to interpret and evaluate same.

  • Proven competency to a very high level in all areas of commercial millwork installation, including office fronts, doors, paneling, cabinetry, moldings and trim, etc.

  • Proven experience working without supervision, leading and coordinating teams.

  • Must be motivated, have own transportation, and be willing to work on evenings and weekends, when required.

 

Through the interview process the applicant will be asked to demonstrate hands-on competency in a controlled environment as this is a working foreman role, requiring hands-on production.

Our ideal candidate is a skilled craftsperson who must have at least 5 years experience of related craft work in a commercial office and hospitality environment with an interior general contractor.  

 

Job Tasks and Responsibilities: 
•    Interpret architectural drawings, plan, and layout for commencement of work.
•    Frame, support and board partitions, multilevel ceilings, and Architectural features.
•    Completing drywall finishing tasks with minimal/light sanding to a Level 5 Standard.
•    Layout, frame and install acoustic ceilings.
•    Coordinating installations with other sub trades (i.e. millwork, flooring, MEP, lighting and glazing contractors). 

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
•    Must have at least 5 years experience of related craft work in a commercial office and hospitality environment with an interior general contractor.

•    Thorough understanding of detailed shop and architectural drawings, and proven ability to evaluate and construct within company performance expectations.
•    Proven competency to a very high level in all areas of commercial Drywall installation and Level 5 finishing.
•    Proven ability with mechanical finishing tools, including stilt working up to 36", and maintenance and repair of said tools.

The successful applicant must be able to work without supervision, lead installation crew, and train apprentice technicians. Our ideal candidate for each position must be motivated, able to manage conflicting priorities, maintain strict schedules, strong problem solving and communication skills, and have their own transportation.  Weekends and evenings will be required.

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Commercial Interiors Division.  As a Senior Project Manager, you will be providing project management services for the coordination and delivery of the construction and fit out of commercial projects. The successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours to meet customer requirements. Overtime may be required.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
•    Liaise with clients, subtrade project managers, neighboring occupants and building trades to progress the project expediently and with minimum disruption to all stake holders.
•    Manage Commercial fit out projects from developed design to completion.
•    Manage site trade supervisors to ensure quality and coordination of build on every project.
•    Oversee and account for construction cost and fit out budgets.
•    Develop and manage critical path fit out schedules. Developing and nurturing strong positive relationships with all project stakeholders.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
•    Preference to Degree in Construction Project Management and/or Quantity Surveyor.
•    5 years of progressive Project Management experience. Practical experience in a relevant trade is advantageous. Proven experience managing conflicting priorities to meet deadlines across multiple consecutive projects.
•    A thorough understanding of job cost management, best trade practice, quality control and building codes recognized and used in Bermuda.
•    Extensive scheduling experience in a similar environment, preferably with Microsoft Project.
•    Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills with commitment to meeting project goals.
